Open Stock Holding Power Company "Barki Tojik" has received grant from the International Development for the Association for the preparation grant for Advisory support for the regional trade initiative project (TF 016252), and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to the providing ESIA and EMP for the project CASA-1000 with a Consulting firm, which shall provide the consulting services for: Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Management Plan.

DRAFT RESETTLEMENT POLICY FRAMEWORK
The Central Asian (CA) Republics have large energy resource potential relative to their domestic needs. However, hydro-rich countries like Tajikistan have not been able to realize their potential, in part because of the significant resources needed to develop the associated transmission lines and the lack of regional cooperation. The result is that a lot of water is wastefully spilled in summer without any electricity generation.

In connection with the Invitation for Prequalification indicated in Section II, Prequalification Data Sheet (PDS), the Employer, as defined in the PDS, issues this Prequalification Document (“Prequalification Document”) to prospective applicants (“Applicants”) interested in submitting applications (“Applications”) for prequalification to bid for the Works described in Section VII, Scope of Works.
GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
The countries of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyz Republic intend to apply for financing in the amount of US$ 920 million equivalent from the World Bank and other financiers toward the cost of the CASA – 1000 Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project may be jointly financed by the Islamic Development Bank and other financiers.
