29.11.2019 Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for Converter and Electrode Stations

. CASA 100 project objective. The proposed CASA-1000 project will facilitate the first electricity trade of 1,300 megawatts (MW) of existing summertime hydropower surplus between the two regions, involving the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan in Central Asia and Afghanistan and Pakistan in South Asia. Project preparation was guided by the 4-country minister-level Inter-Governmental Council (IGC) and through consultations with the 10-member Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program. A Secretariat of the CASA-1000 project was put in place in 2011. The project is expected to consist of the construction and operation of transmission infrastructure in the four countries. The Project has purpose and would contribute to alleviating power supply shortages in Pakistan and Afghanistan and would enhance revenues and economic prospects in the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan.

31.01.2019 INVITATION for expressions of interest for the provision of
The Republic of Tajikistan has applied for a grant financing with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the implementation of Reconnection to the Central Asian Power System Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to pay for consulting services in project implementation period. The project consists of the following components:

28.01.2019 Asian Development Bank will be connected the Tajik Power Network with Energy Power Grid of Central Asia. It will help to republic sell their excess energy.
In November 23, 2018 between Government of Tajikistan and ADB was signed the Grant Agreement in the amount of $35 million, which will be directed to complete reconnection of electric-power system of Tajikistan with Power Network of Uzbekistan. This implies that from 2009 year the reconstruction of the parallel operations of tajik energy system was disconnected in some region. 

04.07.2019 Nurek hydropower rehabilitation project. Phase 1

       The Republic of Tajikistan has applied for financing from the World Bank International Development Association, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) toward the cost of the “Nurek hydropower rehabilitation project. Phase I.”, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Contract for Rehabilitation of Switchyard.

07.02.2019 Nurek hydropower rehabilitation project

The Republic of Tajikistan has received financing from the World Bank International Development Association and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank toward the cost of the Nurek Hydromechanical Equipment rehabilitation project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Package 3, Hydromechanical equipment.

16.05.2019 Nurek hydropower rehabilitation project

The Republic of Tajikistan has applied for financing from the World Bank International Development Association and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank toward the cost of the Nurek hydropower rehabilitation project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Monitoring equipment and left bank geotechnical investigations.

Open Stock Holding Company “Barqi Tojik” has received loan and grant from the International Development Association and Loan from Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and intends to apply part of the proceeds to eligible payments under the contract with individual consultant, which shall provide the services as Environmental Consultant of PRG “Energy Loss Reduction”.

20.12.2017 Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (Volume II)

According to the approved ToR and the project schedule for the CASA-1000 project, studies on bird migration were conducted during the birds migratory period in spring 2017 in the vicinity of the high-voltage transmission line (HVTL) in the Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan.

20.12.2017 Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (Volume I)

1. Project objective. The initial proposed CASA-1000 project development objective is to facilitate the first electricity trade of 1,300 megawatts (MW) of existing summertime hydropower surplus between the two regions, involving the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan in Central Asia and Afghanistan and Pakistan in South Asia. Project preparation was guided by the 4-country minister-level Inter-Governmental Council (IGC) with a Secretariat that was put in place in 2011 and through consultations with the 10-member Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) program. The project is expected to consist of the construction and operation of transmission infrastructure in the four countries, associated technical assistance during implementation, and mechanisms for the sharing of benefits with communities along the transmission corridor and would contribute to alleviating power supply shortages in Pakistan and Afghanistan and would enhance revenues and economic prospects in the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan.

The OSHC “Barqi Tajik” assigned for selection and recruitment of an audit firm, now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.

23.10.2017 Qairokkum hydropower rehabilitation project - FIDIC engineer

OSHC "Barki Tojik" (the “Client”) has requested the EBR and Development to provide technical assistance for the rehabilitation of the hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment of the “Qairokkum HPP” to increase dam safety and resilience to climate change, and improve the quality and quantity of electricity supply.
